The Abegweit Band, also referred to as the Abegweit First Nation, is a small Mi'kmaq band located in near proximity of Charlottetown. It consists of three reserves: Morell Rear Reserve #2, Rocky Point Reserve #3, and Scotchfort Reserve #4.

Reserve lands are located in three different locations. Rocky Point, consisting of 7 acres, is primarily residential area. It is located on the outskirts of Charlottetown. Scotchfort (140 acres) is residential area and includes public buildings. Eighty (80) acres is being considered for future development. Scotchfort is located 57 Km from Rocky Point on Highway # 2, in close proximity to Mt. Stewart. Morell (200 acres) is primarily a residential area, located 23 Km beyond Scotchfort.
